Friday/Saturday 13th & 14th March Beer Festival

We’ve been heartbroken to hear about the flooding in the area, and have been putting our heads together at the Club to work out what we could do to help.

We’ve decided that our Beer Festival next week will be changing to a charity event – with proceeds going to the Flood Relief Fund.

Our plan is this – every penny of money spent on hand pulled beer on the festival bar will go directly to the charity. NOT THE PROFIT – EVERY PENNY! In addition, the money from the ticket sales will also be donated.

The only cost we’ll be handling is the cost of the entertainment, our staff have also agreed to donate some of their time to help towards making it successful.

We’ve had generous donations from local businesses already… with more getting in touch as we go along!

Beer has been donated from the following breweries:
Old Mill Brewery – Snaith
Spotlight Brewery – Snaith
Brown Cow Brewery - Barlow
Jolly Sailor Brewery – Selby
Naylors Brewery – Keighley
Black Sheep Brewery - Masham

Richard Kealey (R.M. Kealey Butchers, Snaith) has kindly donated joints of pork to make sandwiches for all those attending the Saturday of the Beer Festival.

Nancy Ann Lee (Little Miss Sixties) is performing on the Friday evening of the Beer Festival, and she will be hosting a raffle on the evening, with proceeds also being donated to the charity!

The Little Black Dog Brewery, Carlton are also donating to the event.

The format for the festival is as follows:

Friday 13th March – 6pm till close – tickets £5
Live entertainment from Little Miss Sixties
Disco until midnight
Raffle (courtesy of Little Miss Sixties, with proceeds going to the flood relief)
Beers from local breweries

Saturday 14th March – 3pm till close – tickets £12
Live entertainment in the afternoon from Simon, the Human Jukebox
Live entertainment in the evening from the Moondogs
Disco until midnight
Hot Pork Sandwiches (pork supplied by Kealeys Butchers, Snaith) with full salad bar, hot selection and chips
Beers from local breweries

Our thanks also go out to Ray at the Bell & Crown in Snaith, who has kindly agreed to help promote our fundraiser.

Please show your support any way you can and help us raise vital funds for those who have been affected by the flooding. Be that by attending in person, or donating prizes, every little bit helps! Even if you can’t attend, buying a ticket is putting money towards the Flood Relief Fund.
